Bhule Jaoya Golper khonje : Cover art and illustrations

Cover art and few illustrations for Bhule Jaoya Golper khonje ( in search of the lost story ) Bengali translation of As the goose flies by Katherine Pyle Which personally inspired me to take art and illustration as profession, I love illustrated books. And in each book illustration projects, I whole-heartedly try to draw like the illustrations I used to love to see when I was a kid. The translation was done by my friend, famous Bengali writer and translator AND artist Pratim Das , and it was my opportunity when I got the scope to illustrate this book. Like the original book, the novel is segmented into different chapters and our plan was to put puctures on almost each page of the book, but there was some obvious limitations regarding volume - and of course price of the book. We wanted to keep the price minimal, so that every children can afford the classic. T-shirt design vector illustration

Here is a process to show how I design t-shirts I recieved this job request from a client thru a design agency, and the client already had the concept in mind and is really helpfull with a quick concept sketch, and that was really interesting and easy to start. Before we begin, here is the final t-shirt design Based upon his sketch, here is my version, showing the whole composition. Next thing was to draw the whole sketch into clean line. I drew it in raster and later converted the whole ink illustration into vector After the line art process is completed, I painted a quick color draft over the finished ink illustratioon to show the color scheme. and finally this is the longest part - rendering the whole design in proper vector. Based upon the color draft, It needed to be traced in vector shapes and then add solid and gradient fills. It is my general practice that in each step I update my client and seek feedback.
