The Stars, Like Dust is a science fiction mystery book by American science fiction writer Isaac Asimov. The story was first published under the title Tyrann in three parts from January to March 1951 in Galaxy magazine. The book is part of Asimov's Galactic Empire series and takes place before the actual founding of the Galactic Empire, before even Trantor becomes important. It starts with a young man Biron Farrell attending the University of Earth. The Stars, Like Dust is Asimov's second novel, and chronologically the first in his Galactic Empire Series.
Sajjad Kabir, eminent writer and translator from Bangladesh did a great work translating this epic into Bengali. It was published in from Bangladesh by reputed publisher Kothaprokash in 2018.
Being a close friend of Sajjad Kabir - it was my honor to get hired to illustrate and design the cover of this novel. Here are some illustrations from Taray Taray Yuddha (War between stars - in Bengali) and the cover. As science fiction is a common genre of interest between me and Sajjad-da - doing this project was of a great pleasure.
Biron Farrel receiving message
The team escaping
Horse-head nebula
Spaceship landing
The engine-room climax
Biron and Artemisia
The book contains 22 illustrations - each for every chapter - here are few, but interested readers can check availability of this book and buy from Kothaprokash.
