Earlier in 2009 I created some vector illustration work for Eastern Railway. Here is a few of them.
This series of illustrations were for a passenger safety campaign by Eastern Railway - one of my earlier employer and client hired me to illustrate this series. The whole design project was completely in vector traced and rendered from sketches. Here is a sample overlay sketch for the earlier illustration.
The sketches for this illustration project was done with a pen tablet. Here is another rendering with the same characters, but with a different background. The earlier illustration was for local train compartment. And this one is showing interior of an express train.
The interior of the train compartments were modeled roughly in Blender and from simple renders I traced and illustrated and added details to the scene. Here is a sample composition I created - the underlying train compartment image is rendered from Blender and the characters are drawn on top of this layer with a pen tablet.
After the visual composition is satisfactory for both the clients and me, the illustrator - I traced everything in Freehand MX - my favorite vector editing software I use till now.
And here is what happened to the innocent passengers - the fraud took all their luggage and runs away...
So the moral of the story is not to trust strangers and not to take anything from any unknown co-passenger. Here is the sketch for the second illustration.
As there was lots of details in this series of illustrations, it took me very long to complete the whole vector illustration project.
